My point was more at highlighting that some men use denial and victim-blaming to deflect from other men who do commit sexual assaults. Chipping away at the credibility of sexual assault victims empowers perpetrators by failing to hold them accountable for their actions.

It's a common practice that starts with questioning if a woman has drank too much, is wearing a provocative outfit, or secretly wanted to have a sexual encounter. It's also how men have been getting away with rape in this country for a very long time, even our President.
