It seems that Courtney missed the message that Christians are supposed to especially love those who are more challenging to love. Special needs children need more love and acceptance, not less.

On another note:

If religious leaders want more people to attend services, they should combine them with exercise and have them outdoors. I went to church for years, boring as it was, sitting for an hour doing almost nothing. Now, I'd just rather go biking or hiking for the day. Nothing brings one closer to the Devine than nature -- and not having to hear a man drone on about sins he secretly does when he thinks no one is watching.
