It's easy to dismiss people who behave as those you mention but far more important to address their struggles and reality, and also to acknowledge their humanity. We share one country and need to find common ground somewhere. As a Feminist, I find it hard to stomach the blantent misogyny inherent in this administration's messages, but understanding that most people are essentially good down underneath their veneer of fearfulness and defensiveness helps me reconcile some of the nastiness uncovered during Trump's rise to power. However, I am glad that, for now, it is likely over soon.
