I think about how much unpaid labor women provide, in addition to childcare and maintaining a household. We also are expected to care for our parents as well -- and often in-laws if married.
We have unpaid labor tasks packed on our backs for most of our lives, and we are damn tired of being the safety net for everyone. Women aren't having many children because we know we can't care for everyone and also work all day at a career. It's too much.
There needs to be a better balance for the next generation or women might simply decide they have had enough of caring for others without compensation.
