I really enjoyed your sentiments here. Being raised Catholic and having nuns provide weekly assessments on why I'd be going to hell, I found my way away from the church. Years later, I attended various others, but it felt forced and like my beliefs didn't align properly.

Being kind, accepting others, helping those in need, those are the important virtues I'm looking to focus on. Jesus sounded like a really good dude, but some of his followers don't seem to to have enough humility to abide by his simple principles about acceptance, love, kindness, and grace for others.
