I have witnessed racism many times, and I am not even a Black American. I can remember in the 90s when a bus load of mostly Black, inner city, high school graduates were followed by the KKK and White Supremest groups to the suburban university that I planned to attend.

After the campus tour, the KKK in their pick-up trucks followed the bus back to the city to threaten the students to not attend the university. It was horrific, and one of my best friends was on that bus. She almost decided not to attend the university but then decided to enroll and face the consequences.

I have no clue How Nikki Haley can assert that America is not a racist country. Our history and institutions are still filled with examples of racism.
