I completely understand what you are saying about homelessness, Rivka, but please look at the other side of things. People who have small businesses and are scratching a living who have homeless people defecating on the street out side of their businesses are suffering too. So are low income, vulnerable people who live in the neighborhoods where homeless folks are using drugs right outside of their doors and screaming and threatening them.

I got off the train and a guy whipped down his pants and started masterbating right there in front of me. I've been screamed at, ranted at by those using drugs, and it is an awful, vulnerable feeling.

What we need is a better mental health system because the current one has failed all of us.
