At a time, divorce was uncommon and married women were encouraged to 'turn the other cheek' regarding their husbands' extra marital affairs. My mother was of that generation, and consequently quite miserable until my father was six feet under, and she could be alone and peaceful again.

I would rather be divorced than living with a cheating spouse, and many women would agree that divorce is much preferable than living a lie.

If the church ladies who believe divorce is a sin want to ignore their personal misery to 'please God' and arrive, upon death, at the supposed obedient wife's paradise, they are entitled to do so. However, I would rather live alone than with a schmuck who can't keep this thingy in his pants.
