As unpopular as my view may be, decorum is important, and wearing appropriate attire in office, and other places, is respectful to others. Wearing ripped jeans to an opera seems inappropriate for the venue, and showing up to a government meeting in a hoodie appears out of place.

I'm not saying one must wear designer clothes or spend a lot on attire, but rebelling at dress codes and standards seems self-serving and a bit childish to me.

After all, why not just wear pajamas and slippers all day?
